The first and basic thing that we have to understand in numismatic hobby is about grade. Because grade is the most important thing to see the differences of paper money value. Grading paper money is not a difficult thing, but not easy too. Because sometimes we have different standard to grade a paper money, sometimes it's really subjective regarding to the lack of experiences. Old player usually have tougher standard to grade a paper money. 

But an easy way to understand it. We can follow to the IBNS or International Bank Note Standards
